Overview Of The Ads We're Showcasing

LESSON: Test boldly

Over the past few months, we've been testing an audience with absolutely no interests or behaviors - just an age range and location (for english speaking countries). At first, I thought it was crazy to have an audience with no targeting (and it is), but I wanted to see how well Facebook could find new buyers just using the conversion history of my pixel.

It worked surprisingly well! The reason the audience performed so well was because our Facebook pixel has A LOT of conversion history. If you are running ads with a new pixel (less than 1,000 conversions), this will not work for you - don't try it. 

The reason why we are featuring three ads from this audience is to show you how important it is to test new things boldly. If something you're testing doesn't perform well, that's fine! Turn it off. But give yourself some freedom to have fun, think creatively, and test crazy ideas, because you may stumble upon your best ad!

OBJECTIVE:

While the end goal of all our ad campaigns is to eventually promote and sell our signature program, Launch (how to create an online course, set up an automated marketing system, and scale on auto-pilot), the goal of our ads to cold audiences is to recoup almost all of our adspend on day #1 by running traffic to a SLO (self-liquidating offer). Then we send all the new buyers through our evergreen email funnel for our high-ticket Launch program.

CONVERSION RATES:
  • UnTemplated ($49) order bump conversion = 20.4%
  • Ads Magic ($67) upsell conversion =  at 3.8%
  • Launch 1M ($2500) sales funnel conversion = 2.1%
